Wash before first use to open the fibres up. Warm wash, tumble dry on low, and no fabric softener: it leaves a film on cotton loops that stops them absorbing, which is the usual reason a good towel starts feeling waxy.

About this product
Four bath towels that get softer rather than thinner.
A set of four white Turkish cotton bath towels, 68.6 by 137.2cm, the everyday size for a family bathroom.
Four white Turkish cotton bath towels, each 68.6 by 137.2cm.
Turkish cotton is spun from longer fibres than standard cotton, and the practical difference shows up after a few months rather than on the first day: fewer loose threads, less pilling, and a towel that feels softer at wash twenty than it did at wash two.
68.6 by 137.2cm is the ordinary bath towel size rather than a bath sheet, which is deliberate for a set of four. It is the size that fits a standard rail, folds onto a normal shelf and goes through a domestic machine without taking the whole drum.
White is the colour that shows everything, which is exactly why hotels use it. Nothing is hiding, you can wash at a proper temperature without worrying about the dye, and a set that has aged unevenly is obvious rather than quietly grey.
